Founded in 1921 as a small Credit Society by visionaries Late Shri. Vishnu Ramchandra Pitre, Late Shri Vinayak Sakharam Sarkhot & Late Shri Ramkrushna Anant Sakhalkar, our institution has come a long way to become one of the most respected and important banks in the co-operative banking sector. While we are located in the historically significant yet small town of Rajapur, our impact has been felt far beyond our local community. We are aware that 100 years is both a significant and small period in the life of an institution such as ours. However, we are confident in our ability to continue to serve our customers and communities with the same level of dedication and commitment as we have for the past century.
As we reflect on our journey so far, we are reminded of the story of Lord Krishna holding the “Govardhan Mountain” on his finger. Just as Lord Krishna’s strength and determination allowed him to accomplish this seemingly impossible feat, our institution’s commitment to our values has allowed us to withstand the challenges of the changing times and emerge stronger.

We have showcased our performance with respect to the changing times, which has been instrumental in charting our path for the future. We recognize that the world has changed significantly during this period, with major shifts in the banking industry and the basic concept of banking itself. However, our bank has been successful in keeping pace with these changes and adapting to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
